Swamp Rabbit Station @ Berea

A unique pocket park located at the halfway point between Downtown Greenville and the City Of Travelers Rest on the GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail. It is right off of Sulphur Springs Road and Pinsley Circle.  This park now has an information kiosk, a small seating area, water bottle refill and a turnaround for handicap bikes. Visitors can also see a vintage railcar with a locomotive and mural based on the history of the community of Berea.  This park has become a destination, stopover and resting place for many of the 500,000 trail users on this popular section of the trail.

Berea Community Sign

Berea Station Events, Inc., proudly announces our next project – a gateway sign to be built on Sulphur Springs Road at the Swamp Rabbit Trail, an area that continues to see tremendous growth. The proposal for the design and construction of this project was presented to Greenville County and was approved.

The design will reflect the front entrance of the school that once stood on Farr’s Bridge Road with actual bricks and keystones from that school to be used in its construction. Please see the artist rendering.

We invite you to become part of this project by helping us raise the required funds.  You may help in one of several ways. Direct contributions may be mailed to the address below and are tax deductible.

Or, if you prefer, you may purchase a copy of one of our two publications, Berea - A Look Back, highlighting the history of our community, or The Mystery On The GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail, a delightful, interactive children's book. All proceeds from the sale of these books will be allocated for this sign project.
